Celebratory Mural – 160 years of St Nicholas Primary school

During a three-week residency at a local primary school, I worked with staff and pupils to create an outdoor mural to celebrate the schools 160- year birthday. The children were involved in suggestions for the design, which traces a timeline from Queen Victoria's reign when the school was founded, to the present day, charting both local and historical events and landmarks. Each child in the school took part in the painting during the three-week residency. The Bishop of St Albans unveiled the mural to parents and governors at an opening ceremony, which was reported in the local paper. Celebratory Mural
