This workshop examines the abstract land- and cityscapes of Paul Klee, looking particularly at colour and form, and how he varies the mood and feeling of each painting as he changes these elements. The workshop is aimed at Primary school children. Using pre-cut geometric shapes, oil pastels and watercolours, the children select their forms and colours to create their own individual cityscapes.
These workshops took place during the academic years 2015-2016 and 2017-2018 which were both designated Crabtree's Year of Art. At the end of each year, the work was mounted and exhibited as part of the celebratory Open Day in July.
